What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Senior Internal Audit Manager, as an Internal Audit Manager you'll work as part of a small but dynamic team to deliver a strategically focussed risk-based audit plan.

You'll partner with stakeholders across the Group, working as a trusted advisor in the third line of defence to provide an independent and objective opinion on the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and corporate governance.  You'll work on a variety of commercially and strategically focused, interesting audits and will have the autonomy to influence and drive our coverage of the business's strategic objectives, all while contributing to the continuous improvement of this progressive Internal Audit function.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Building credibility and trust with business stakeholders, to enhance Internal Audit's role as an objective and trustworthy business partner
  • Leading audit engagements, from scoping through to issue closure by effective tracking, challenge, and escalation of management actions
  • Proactively knowledge-sharing best practice with the local and global Internal Audit teams to continuously develop the function
  • Representing Internal Audit at internal forums, committees and lead ad hoc projects and engagements

What are we looking for?

You'll be a commercially aware professional with accomplished oral and written communication skills.  You'll have the ability to identify valuable risk-based issues and will be able to mitigate these by aligning the business on practical and pragmatic solutions. Some exposure to finance audits/financial reporting would be desirable, but we are ideally looking for someone who has exposure to managing a variety of different types and sizes of internal audits.

Also, we're looking for the following:

  • Good working knowledge of internal audit best practices
  • Strong organisation and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and convey issues and concerns sensitively
  • A champion for continual improvement, innovation, and best practice in an evolving Internal Audit function

What can we offer you?

At Novuna we take our people promise seriously. If you join us, you'll have a chance to make a difference, opportunities to learn, and time to shine.

In addition to a market-benchmarked salary and excellent bonus scheme, our offer to you includes:

  • Company car or cash alternative – with fantastic EV incentives
  • Flexible hybrid working
  • 25 days' holiday, plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell 5 days
  • Full wellbeing package including BUPA, digital GP service, 24/7 employee assistance, plus wellbeing events throughout the year
